Terms of Use & Refund Policy

The Half Million Dollar Drawing (the “Site”) is a collaborative pixel canvas operated by Nondescript Software Inc. (“we”, “us”). By purchasing or placing squares, you agree to these terms.

1. What you’re buying

A purchase reserves one or more 1×1 squares on the canvas and lets you set their colour (and, where offered, an image and link). Squares are a novelty digital good with no intrinsic, monetary, or investment value. We do not guarantee the Site will remain available indefinitely.

2. Acceptable use & content policy

You may not place, or cause to be displayed, any content that:

• constitutes hate speech, or promotes hatred or violence against any individual or group on the basis of race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, or disability;
• is sexually explicit, pornographic, or otherwise adult in nature;
• is harassing, threatening, defamatory, or invasive of another’s privacy;
• infringes intellectual-property or other rights; or
• is otherwise unlawful under the laws of Canada or the Province of residence of the operator, including applicable hate-speech and obscenity legislation.

3. Moderation & enforcement

We may, at our sole discretion and consistent with applicable anti-hate-speech and adult-content laws, recolour, hide, or remove any square and its content, with or without notice. Repeated or serious violations may result in your being banned from future purchases and the removal of your existing content. Where content is removed for a policy violation, the refund terms in Section 4 apply.

4. Refund policy

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Because squares are delivered instantly, all sales are final, except:

• where a non-waivable right to a refund is provided to you under applicable consumer-protection law (including the consumer-protection legislation of your province or territory); or
• where we choose, at our discretion, to issue a refund — for example, when we remove a square during moderation.

Where a refund is issued, you will be refunded the square price (the per-square amount) to your original payment method. The processing fee is non-refundable: it is charged by our payment processor (Stripe) to cover card-network costs and is not returned to us when a payment is refunded, so it cannot be returned to you.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details. You authorize the total shown at checkout (square price plus the processing fee). You retain any chargeback rights provided by your card issuer.

6. Privacy

To complete a purchase we use Stripe (which collects your email for the receipt) and Google Sign-In (which provides your email and a unique account identifier so we can attribute squares and show your chosen username on the leaderboard). We do not publish your email. Your chosen username is public.
